We installed 44 microinverters in August 2014. As soon as they came online, our electric meter started running backwards. We’ve eliminated our electric bills and fill good about using clean sustainable energy. I can even recharge my regular (AA, AAA, C, D & 9 volt) batteries with our clean solar energy. Blue Sky was easy to work with and they did a great job. They accidentally damaged my old dilapidated ladder and then quickly replaced it with a brand new one. I want to start off by saying that Gary Rochlin is one of the nicest and most genuine people I have ever met. I had the pleasure to work with Blue Sky Energy (Gary) on a 270 kW DC photovoltaic project that we built in the in McArthur Park area of Los Angeles. Los Angeles Building Management (LABM) hired Gary to develop and manage the construction of approximately 1200 panels on top of solar support structures over our parking lot.

This was a special project as it was the first of its kind in ever in the McArthur Park area and it took a lot of maneuvering thru LADWP and LADBS. Gary spent tireless hours from engineering to plan check and making sure all permits were issued and passed by the city. He also negotiated with LADWP on the interconnection and with the terms and amount of the rebate to LABM. The project flowed smoothly and we are still using him to consult on various entitlement issues that have come up.

The project is currently yielding us about 35% of all electricity to the building saving us close to $5k dollars a month. I’m very thankful for Gary’s hard work and effort he put towards this project. If there is one thing to be said about Gary, as an entrepreneur, is that he is relentless in his intention to win and be successful!
