Blue Sky Energy is a purpose-driven solar and battery installation company serving high-end residential and small commercial clients across Los Angeles. We specialize in solar PV systems, Tesla Powerwall installations, and smart energy solutions that deliver reliability, resilience, and sustainability. We are growing and seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee installations from contract to completion — ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with the craftsmanship and service our clients expect.
Responsibilities

Manage solar PV and Tesla Powerwall projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

Oversee scheduling, permitting, inspections, and utility interconnection processes

Maintain budgets, track job costs, and prepare project status reports

Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, equipment deliveries, and Blue Sky installation crews

Conduct pre-construction site walks, kickoff meetings, and client updates throughout the project

Perform onsite QA/QC, safety checks, and punch-list completion

Collaborate with leadership to improve processes, workflows, and project efficiency

Oversee construction and installation

Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring a smooth handoff to service/maintenance teams
Qualifications
- 3+ years of project management experience in solar PV, battery storage, or electrical construction (required)
- Construction and crew management experience with a proven record of keeping projects on schedule and within budget
- Strong knowledge of solar installations and residential electrical systems (required)
- Familiarity with Tesla Powerwall installation and commissioning (preferred)
- Thorough understanding of NEC, permitting, and interconnection requirements
- Excellent client interaction skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly, build trust, and handle concerns with professionalism
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to think on their feet in fast-changing field conditions
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong follow-through to ensure schedules, inspections, and documentation are completed correctly
- Ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors effectively, balancing accountability with collaboration
- Strong time management skills, able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Asana and QuickBooks Time for scheduling and tracking
